This Data Retention Policy explains how long Pixelbase retains different types of data, the rationale behind our retention periods, and your options for data deletion. We retain data only as long as necessary to provide our services and comply with legal obligations.
2. Data Categories and Retention Periods
2.1 Account Data

3. Account Deletion
3.1 Voluntary Account Deletion
You can request deletion of your account at any time through your account settings or by contacting support. Upon account deletion:
- Your account will be immediately deactivated
- Personal data will be deleted within 30 days
- Business data will be retained per the periods above, then deleted
- Anonymized aggregate data may be retained indefinitely
3.2 Inactive Account Policy
Accounts with no login activity for 24 consecutive months may be flagged as inactive. We will send multiple notifications before taking any action. Inactive free tier accounts may be deleted after the notification period.
4. Data Export
Before account deletion, you can export your data in standard formats (JSON, CSV). Export options are available in your account settings under "Data Management."
5. Backup Retention
- Daily backups: Retained for 30 days
- Weekly backups: Retained for 90 days
- Monthly backups: Retained for 1 year
After account deletion, data will be removed from backups according to the backup rotation schedule (maximum 1 year).
6. Legal Holds
We may be required to preserve certain data in response to legal proceedings, investigations, or regulatory requirements. In such cases, affected data will be retained until the legal hold is lifted, regardless of our standard retention periods.
7. Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Request a copy of your data
- Request deletion of your data (subject to legal requirements)
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Object to certain data processing activities
